There are two requirements for accepting the award: 1) I must thank the person who gave me the award & list their blog and link and 2) I must list 10 honest things about myself.
I've already completed the first one....#2 coming right up......
1) I was born and raised in the country outside a small town & although I live in the Big City, I'm a country girl deep down inside.
2) I may live in the Buckeye State, but I'm a Hoosier at heart!
3) I am blessed to be married for 20 years to a man who lives radically for the Lord.
4) I had the privledge to homeschool our son all the way through high school & our daughter until halfway thru 10th grade.
5) I have a passion for Special Olympics & volunteered in one way or another from 9th grade up until my children were born.
Have you had enough or should I go on? Ok, here are the rest of them:
6) I loved the Beach Boys, not the Beatles.
7) I only like books & movies with happy endings. And almost never read self-help type books.
8) I collect Newbery Award childrens' books.
9) I would love to learn ballroom dancing (wanted to do that before there was Dancing with the Stars) but wouldn't wear those skimpy outfits!
10) This year I grew flower plants from seeds...and they are now starting to bloom!
Now to pass along this award.....Ashley, Becky, and Cathy.

A Cheery Morning to all of you today! I hope you had an enjoyable week. Mine was full of activity with VBS & nephews here for a couple of days while their dad had surgery. This week's Artful Sentiments Copic Challenge was to use these three colors plus another green. In addition to B24, G24, & Y21, I also used G21, YG03, YG17, YG23, YG67, B21, Y17. The base card is SU! Marigold Morning. The image is from High Hopes. The sentiment is from Bugawumps. Magic Mesh gives the card texture & MS flowers & leaves finish it off with a little zing. I used Liquid Pearl for this dino's nails & horns...just had to try it for the first time...& added stickles to his wing & the flower. Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hugs, Laurie Click here to join the Challenge & to see other samples made with this combo.

Would you like a chance to win? Here's what I'd like you to do. Leave a comment here telling me your favorite book (other than the Bible) AND also post a link to this post on your blog. Deadline for doing this will be midnight EST on 6/24. On 6/25 Random Integer will choose a winner. One entry per person, please. I will keep this post at the top of my blog through the 24th, but you might want to check below it for a posted card. :)
I know this will make a long post, but I just have to tell you: The Lord has blessed me abundantly with not just the stuff that let's me stamp & blog, but also with my stamping buddies here at home & now with you who take the time to look at my posts. He created us to love beautiful, colorful things & even gave us the creativity to express it. It is my deep desire to honor Him with this hobby & be an encouragement to the people He allows to cross my path. Thanks for your part in His plan to give me some fun, too!
Edit: I just heard from another blog that sometimes those computer generated name drawing things don't like the first number or the last number. Sooooo, I will not use Random Interger, but will put everyone's name in a hat.

I started with stamping the flower images on white Neenah cs to make a bouquet, coloring them with several Copic Sketch markers. I used Nesties to cut out the bouquet and a tag. I then chose my dp. As you can see, the dp has a yellowish base to it, making my white image piece look all wrong. Thankfully I thought of the Marigold ink pad I have & used a sponge to put down a lot of soft color all over. The dark yellow lines of the borders were made automatically when I wiped my sponge over the cs in smooth, circular motions. I added blue with a Copic marker & went over the edges again with my sponge & ink. Next came the knotted bow to the bottom of the bouquet and a flat ribbon to the dp. Popdots were used to mount both the image & the sentiment pieces. You can click on the photo to enlarge the image & see the details more clearly.
Enjoy your day --- Laurie
