My card is made with a dear friend in mind, who started her battle against breast cancer within the past few months. I wanted to send her a card that encouraged her with the fact that God is there to give her strength and whatever she needs to go through this experience. He will not leave her to fight alone!
I've seen some terrific cancer awareness/encouragement stamps, but knew this one would be perfect when I came across it. I just love 'Fight Like a Girl!!' The folks at Whimsie Doodles did a great job on this digi set. I've used Basic Grey Bittersweet dp and two different Nesties for my layers. The verse image is from on old SU! set. I've colored this little fighter with Copics and added Smooch to give her some shine. Her scarf is colored, cut out, and attached with popdots to give it a little dimension.
If you'd like to show us what you make, click HERE. We'd love to see your samples, and one randomly drawn entry will win a wonderful prize from our sponsor this week - Cornish Heritage Farms. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful week. Blessings, Laurie

Fight Like a Girl! - SSCC style
Good Sunday morning to all of you. I hope you've had an enjoyable weekend so far. Are you ready for another challenge from Stampin' Sisters in Christ? Our verse for this week is Deuteronomy 31:8 "The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." The challenge is to create something about when God is 'unseen.' It could be a scrapbook page, card, or wall-hanging that reminds us that God is with us always.
